Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins
It is a privilege to be able to teach at my alma mater. This place and people raised me and helped me to grow. I started teaching here while I was pursuing doctorate. I teach amazingly talented and inspiring young and adult students from Preparatory Division and undergrad students from Johns Hopkins with artistic curiosity and discipline. Private Studio
As soon as I got into college, I started teaching young students in town. I used to walk to their houses and became a friend of their entire family. Now, students meet me at my place or zoom. Private lessons are good for students who need more flexibility. Although there are limited availabilities, I see students over the continent and the Pacific.
Orchkids of Baltimore Symphony
For almost a decade, I I taught flute at Orchkids Program of the Baltimore Symphony, the biggest program among all El-Sistema-inspired outreach music programs in U.S.. Students from the very first year are now in college. The director told me it would take a generation to change a town. It was my privilege to be part of them and to be with these wonderful kids. It did shape my insight as a citizen and helped to contextualize me, music, education and life in the Charm City Baltimore.
