Music from an Imaginary Landscape at the Walters Art Museum

Rachel will  give a premiere performance of a work for 3 flutes by Daniel Thomas Davis at Walters Art Museum on Sunday November 24, 2013 at 2pm. Free admission.

Music from an Imaginary Landscape features the live premiere performance of two musical compositions written in response to "Egypt's Mysterious Book of the Faiyum." One piece, by New-York composer and ethnomusicologist Daniel Thomas Davis, reimagines the "Book of the Faiyum" as a musical guidebook to the imaginary landscapes of the ancient papyrus.
